not a very constructive comment:
- ubuntu uses apport and not bug-buggy to report bugs and apport is working
correctly, so your comment about making easy to report bugs doesn't really
stand there
- the bug-buddy entry is masked in the default installation because it should
not be used by ubuntu
After a little more experimentation, it seems the password is not
recognized after any lock screen. not just suspend. I repeated the
action to see if anything new shows up in auth.log, but nothing does.
The only thing in auth.log is the following (repeated), which shows up
after I run a sudo comma

Connecting to a windows server under 'network' or 'connect to server' in
the Administration Menu will display and connect to server, but not show
any folders. It also does not bother to ask for login or password to the
server. This worked fine under Gutsy,
Confirmed.
Running hardy, in Xchat Alt-2 does the same as Alt-f: Open the Menu shortcutted
to f. Curious about this: Alt-2 should be assigned to open the second Tap.
The 2-Key is f under an other layout.

open a bug on apport then, get it fixed and use it to send a bug or
attach a debug stacktrace to this bug but using apport would be better
