I can confirm that adding Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "true" resolves

Thanks for all of the data, that helps a lot. From looking at the log
it looks like the last time that GPM gets notified of a battery level
that it's at 8 percent and that the discharge rate doesn't make it
"action level". This is likely caused by the battery being old.

May I also add that:
1/ It used to work fine on 7.10
2/ I still can use smbmount command to mount the Windows shares and then browse
the folders/files using nautilus. Works fine.
3/ Not all Windows share give me the same problem. I have shares served by a

My system is fully up-to-date with with all the updates @ 22:00 GMT
My server I connect to is ProFTPD 1.3.1 Server running on FreeBSD.
Only nautilus gives the error Invalid reply.

I recompiled the gnome-system-monitor to test this issue, and I made it
disappear just removing the references to the colormap in the
'interface.cpp' source file. It looks like the problem appears when
trying to use an alpha channel.

I'd like to reproduce it, but Im not sure how totem was even running,
does gnome screensaver use totem in some way? since the screensaver was
active at the time this occured.
