Could this be nominated for beta? It is still around, and it would be
pretty bad IMO to have this in the final product - particularly for an
LTS. I had a posted fix that works somewhat (towards the beginning of
this bug) - could the devs responsible for g-p-m take a look at this and
integrate it,
The duplicate refers to nvidia, I confirmed this bug using a machine
running trident. Also help doesn't work, so I suspect this is a bug that
affects multiple chipsets.

In my case, this seems at least partly dependent on the kernel driver.
On other distributions and with file managers other than Nautilus, there
is always a long pause before I can see the content of this Firewire
hard drive. Neverthless, the wait is greatly reduce using a custom
2.6.24 kernel comp

I'm using Sony Ericsson W810i, a mobile phone which uses Memory Stick PRO Duo
as a memory card.
I believe that a bug causes slow transfers, even though the mobile phone is
USB2 compatible.
I plug it in the usb, and start transferring file
