The log has no error, did you get the crash again? You can stop gnome-
panel using gnome-session-remove and then run it under valgrind

Funny thing... I tried to reproduce this crash from the command line
with /usr/bin/totem-video-thumbnailer -s 100x100 incomplete-and-being-
created.avi thumbnail.png and it worked fine, so I start nautilus and
the files are thumbnailed with no problem, so i guess I can no longer be
involved in this

Calling Totem simply "Movie Player" in the GNOME menus makes it more
difficult to find for users who have several movie players installed.
The word "Totem" should be added to make it transparent.
I understand that "Movie Player" is present because
