configuration of printers (can be found under System->Administration) has been
changed to Busy Printing (it is actually in dutch "Bezig met afdrukken" so I am
not exactly sure what it says in English.. p

The upgrade from 6/15 didn't fix it for me. I am not sure if the
appropiate fixes were included in this upgrade. I also restarted the
machine and still see the "tml>" icon that points to my windows
partition.
Is there a way to rebuilt the database that HAL uses, perhaps that is

After updating from Breezy to Dapper, autologin was OK. However, after
an update last week or so, GDM automatically chooses my user but asks
for the password on startup. The dialog asking the password is just a
simple window, and I can login after inserting the password.

Your script has a bug - a URI is not the same as a directory.

Mmmhh... I have the weirdest thing : I tried your zenity script and it
works !

Hmmm, you are very lucky. I did a fresh a install of Dapper and still have the
bug, nothing has changed during the development version of Dapper, nor the
final release, nor Xubuntu which ships clearlooks too, nor NexentaOS which also
ships with clearlooks.
Maybe it's an architecture dependent bu
uncommenting the ls alias causes the errant behavior for me, and was the
only line in my profile when I encountered this. commenting it out also
fixes the symptoms.

The same happens to me since breezy.
The recent documents gets populated after you open a file from nautilus.
In a ltsp server with dapper, the list is cleared again after some time
until you open some file again. In this case I'm using a nfs mount as

The development files seem to be a version behind the prebuilt package.

I don't know what started that problem, but I fixed it manually. With a
fresh install of 6.06 the problem is not there, and ODT open correctly
in OOo.
