Isn't it Ubuntu is aiming for the new linux users, and less for the novice
admins? IMO, a deb package 'admin-suite' must be created, it includes
pessulus, sabayon and all the other admin task. But, I think superuser mode
nautilus must not exists at all.

A simple 'superuser mode' to edit files would be an action in
nautilus-actions that says sudo gnome-open %u (Dunno if %u is correct,

Oops. My mistake. The CD loads just fine on another Ubuntu PC - it just
shows truncated filenames on a Windows XP one.
I know there are a number of issues - different formats and extensions,
etc - but one suggestion: I still think a warning could be issued for
file names longer than the limit for

embedded real-time search box appears. I beleive that feature should be

The same happens if you use anything else to lower the volume to 0 while
having the Volume Control window opened. To recreate:
1) Open Volume Control by double-clicking the speaker icon.
2) Open xmms, xine, whatever and set the volume to 0 in xmms, xine ...
3) Try to rise the volume with xmms agai
Ok, I've fixed the problem for myself, but probably not the bug itself.
After a bit of googling, I found that some others were also having the
same problem with GNOME. Running this command fixed the issue to an
extent:
$ sudo gconf-schemas --register desktop_gnome_interface.schemas

That's really strange. Decoding speed has greatly improved when using
gstreamer 0.10. Of course it depends on your system but on mine
decoding a single track takes seconds, a CD takes a minute tops.
And since it's not something I can improve, because it depends on
gstreamer and not serpentine, I t
err... I mean 80 minutes not 80MB in my previous post

I used an 80MB (700MB) blank cd, added 18 songs to serpentine (which
told me that there where 16 seconds left on the disk), decoded files and
then told me that there wasn't sufficient space on the disk (the
overburning dialog did not appear to ask me if I wanted to force burn)
