Same problem as Yannick after my last update : my xorg is configured to
use fr keymap but gdm's keymap is qwerty.
No pb with window manager (XFCE) or console screen (CTRL + ALT + F1).
Is it related to GDM or is it due to a configuration problem ?

package as suggested and the bug is gone.

I also experienced this issue after upgrading xkb-data to 1.5-2. My
machine is a Dell Latitude D610. Xorg logs show no errors either, with
kb set to pc104 (and tried with pc105 as well) and keymap to "us". As
others have stated, there were never any issues in the console, only in X.
