the X server only runs for a couple of secounds, then it crashes and is
not able to start again. it doesn't matter if i reboot or suspend the machine.
Downgrading to 2:2.1.0 helps.

at debconf last year, we discussed the possibility to include some X
drivers in etch+1/2 to support newer hardware. IMO it'd be nice to
update the nv and intel drivers, but there's probably some work needed
to backport that to xserver 1.1. Would anybody on debian-x have the

DPMS works as expected at first, but after disabling and then
re-enabling it, the display will not turn off again. You can trigger
this with an app like MPlayer that disables DPMS on startup and
re-enables it at exit, or simply with xset.

I have started icedove, was inactive for few minutes, screensaver
attempted to start and X server crashed.
