Speaking of X 4.1 stuff, I recently tried to compile Xfree86 4.1 on my Blade 100, and it compiled without incident, but wouldn't run. (It ran fine after I manually installed the file XFree86 (ie, the X server) extracted from the Debian Woody Sparc package.) After some hunting on archives of this

i'm running woody on an Ultra 1 200e with a Creator3D card and XFree86 4.1.0.1. the box is running a vger kernel compiled from today's (06 oct) sources, and the following occurs with 2.2.19 as well. starting X fails with the following error: (II) LoadModule: "ramdac" (II) Loading /usr/X11
