This issue is still present in xserver-xorg-core 2:1.20.3-1.
The workaround is to specify the virtual console the current X server
runs on. So if it is running on vt7, use a command line of the form:
/usr/lib/xorg/Xorg -config myxspice.conf -noreset vt7 :1.0
