Installing package linux-firmware solved the problem. Now DRI is enabled,

Hi,
with my current configuration, I still have the same problem: DRI enabling is
causing the screen to be scrambled. The mouse pointer still looks normal
though, curious. So the symptoms are similar the bug mentioned above, even is
this one has nothing to do with putting more RAM.

thanks a lot for replying so fast; I use a Viewsonic VP930 via DVI. I tried
using a plain VGA cable (it also has a VGA input) but the output is the same.
I also modified the xorg.conf file using the lines you specified, it was
unfortunately the same problem..

9200SE, my system configuration changed a bit :
