Thanks, I'll try that.

Everything seems to work fine, apart from the cursor which has been
turned into a square made up of vertical lines. Turning off the hwcursor
fixes the problem. This is discussed in the following mail from the
freebsd-ports mailing list:

Not sure if I'm being thick here (probably), but I can't get either kdm
or wdm to read ~/.xsession. /etc/X11/Xsession/Xsession.options contains
allow-user-xsession, and xdm works fine. Thought I'd check here before
filing it as a bug against those two packages.
Cheers

Does anyone know how to enable the numeric keypad on a thinkpad? Under
windows the shift+numlk combo is used to toggle the numeric keypad on
and off. However, under X 4.0.3 this doesn't work, it merely makes the
relevant keys unusable.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

I found this problem too. What I found is that I had to run dexconf
after the configuration was done. Mind you, the config it generated was
broken with regards to the pointer section...

Hi! Last night I attempted to upgrade X from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 in testing

Running strace showed that it got as far as reading and parsing
