I've put up a mirror of spotter's debs at

Drugs are bad. You should value your intelligence and not waste it.

Here is a list of the patches I did NOT have to delete:

This hack makes the Radeon work on an AMD761 chipset. I've tested it
personally. It should suffice until CVS' real fixes eventually get
merged in.
For users of DRM, SCT's similar kernel patch at
http://uwsg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0109.1/0752.html may be
important.

On my X workstation, there are currently 3 Xaw packages installed for
a small selection of Athena apps (all from Debian): libxaw6, libxaw7,
and xaw3dg. Oh yeah, and xaw-wrappers. The dependencies seem to be a
huge mess: most old X packages depend indirectly on libxaw6, the more

I've just experienced this bug and found the cause on my system.
mkfontdir was not installed, so the fonts.alias file was incorrect.
I suppose that mkfontdir should be moved from xutils to xfonts-base,
or xfonts-base should depend on xutils.

dpkg -i *.deb worked great for me, with the exception of some
conflicts with utahglx and libutahglx1 which I had to install
manually. Great work! I think it's about time for phase2.
