In a different bug report (Bug#927275) I tested connecting and
disconncting the dock because the monitors.xml settings seem to be

The workaround is to specify the virtual console the current X server
runs on. So if it is running on vt7, use a command line of the form:
/usr/lib/xorg/Xorg -config myxspice.conf -noreset vt7 :1.0
