Yes, that does work. I had switched to vesa to get it working again, but
specifying "sis" starts the xserver the way it was before the update.

After upgrading from 0.14.7~git20070706-3 to 1.1.2-1 , I can't tap in
my ASUS W7Sg Laptop.
I tried to enable SHMConfig in /etc/X11/xorg.conf and run "synclient
-s TapButton1=1 TapButton2=3 TapButton3=1" .
It fixed the problem.
