Sorry, reportbug attached the wrong Xorg log (I was testing on
display :1). Here is the correct log.
An additional comment: From the log the external CRT appears to be
detected, however, once X is started in dual-head mode the monitor
reports no signal.

The problem seems to be fixed since 6.8.2.dfsg.1-7, but I cannot find a
changelog entry for savage. The filesizes of the drivers between -6 and
