I have a few binary applications that exhibit the problem with ISO10646 fonts (fonts appear as little gray boxes). I read the FAQ, but there is no suggested solution or even a hack to fix the problem. The programs are not open source and there are no updated versions. So, how can I get rid of the l

First I tried to get the PCI card to work with the Gatos "ati.2" driver. They say that Dpkg and RPM both install the Xfree86 in unique places. Their drivers are based on 4.1.99. Does anybody know of a way to install the "ati.2" project while using the debian installation of XFree86x tha

Quick question. From what I can tell, the ATI Rage 128 Pro Ultra TF AGP video card is not supported by X 4.1.0. It looks like 4.1 was released in June of 2001 and this card was not officially supported by the XFree86 team until July of 2001. I assume that the 4.2 package supports this card. The
