Should searching find sub-words by default?

I'm looking for opinions here. Feel free to rationalize your response if so desired. Currently, the package searching in distrib/packages does not match sub-words by default. For example, "diction" will not match "dictionary". Appending an asterisk to a word will enable sub-word searching. There i

Haha cute... Now the ftp links are all http. I guess that's cool. http is generally better... seems like you could just add a type flag to the server entry and change the protocol that way. or write a regexp that checks for /^ftp/ and change the protocol that way (which is a hack) I guess it does
