For reference, I'm attaching here the file "commitinfo" (that currently handles
the pre-commit actions in CVS) and the file "loginfo" (that currently handles
the post-commit actions in CVS).
I think we should decide if we want the same functionality in git/Salsa, and if
yes, working to make

I have started to work in the scripts that we would need to convert from
the CVS logic (centralized system, a CVS/ folder with the info of the
files, version numbers) into a Git logic (decentralized system, commit
hashes instead of version numbers).

I have redone the "git cvsimport" command to include a list of authors so the
git log shows nicks+names instead of nicks. Thanks Rhonda for providing an
authors file with most of the information, I have completed the newer ones.

I have created another branch:
"untranslatable", for the approach of "a git repo hosting the
untranslatable files, until we migrate everything to git".
Work in this branch/approach is towards designing a new workflow in
order to allow people to use a git repo

to Alioth
https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/webwml/webwml2git.git/
For now, you will find there 3 branches:

I'll keep in sync with the CVS repo (I'll try to update daily). This
