I think debian could (and should) make more strides to becoming more
simple. However, it will take a specific effort to simplify without
ruining the interfaces the expert debian users have come to rely upon.
It is also, fundamentally, about scratching SOMEONE elses itch.

I was able to use a windows graphics program to create a .ico file with
16x16 and 32x32 icons embedded. I tried using several linux programs
first with no success.

If this is used to replace the current favicon.ico file the problem with
the www.de
The page background color for the mailing list archives is not set to
white like the rest of debian.org. On mozilla the background renders as
grey, which is unattractive and makes it look like it is not integrated
with the rest of debian.org.
