Well, this point of view explains why people don't use Debian, and use Ubuntu.
You won't educate users, and you cannot force them to read security
advisories. We have to keep security advisories in the homepage (as I
did it in my drafts), but IMO we also need to understand that

I believe that news about the Project are more important than security
advisories because the end-user just don't care about the
DSA-1278man-db vulnerability. He just wants to know the lastest news
about the project, what is the project and how can he download it.

Frans, thank for your comments.
I agree, there is too many rounder corners (and if you don't see them in
Konqueror, this is because I use a Mozilla trick, which is only available
with Gecko engine). My main problem is to choose the right colors (thus we
should create a Debian palette). And for th
I like your CSS and Madcoder's CSS (especially the buttons on the left), and
I agree with you on the fact that we should create a common color palette.

Well, there are two layout :
- the first : http://duchene.g.googlepages.com/index.html
- the second : http://duchene.g.googlepages.com/index2.html

users and visitors.
I agree Nicolas, we should avoid pictures.

Well Frans, I'm currently trying to change the current layout, but I haven't
included all the links, and of course, I am working on a more complete draft
with more than 1 page.
I just wanted to know which layout do you prefer, the first or the second ?
Greetings,
-- Grégoire.
Thank you!
I'm trying to do a 3-column layout, with on the left the detailled menu, and
on the right a column with some less useful texts.
Changing colors is quite difficult, because (as Runa said) the logo is red,
so the colors have to match with this. I'll try to include more "exotic"
colors l
I am trying to modify the current layout, you can try it here :
http://duchene.g.googlepages.com/index.html (careful, the files won't stay
here forever !)
As you can see, there is only two menus in the top (one red, one blue (which
replace the left menu)).
What do you think about that ?
Cheers,
We also could think about a totally different website, using templates for
all languages (i.e in a templates/ directory) and some translation files (
i.e languages/en/ for english texts). Then we'll juste have to include the
right texts in a template.
Thus, translators will juste have to... trans
e left menu).
4/ I think that the two menus must be synchronized : the first on the
top would give the main parts of the website, and the second would
give a more precise view of a part.
Best regards,
