I'm currently compiling SM 1.0.1 now, using the official Linux

want to start work with something that hasn't been endorsed yet by the
SeaMonkey Council, and SM 1.0.1 wouldn't build for Debian.

I have also found that some at fist glance decent debian packages have been
produced already by David Ham and Stephan Kramer [2]. Their debian/copyright
file looks OK to use this as a basis for an official debian package.
