I have not maintained recite for some years, and it has accumulated some
bugs in the meantime. I wouldn't be surprised if any new maintainer
discarded yada and repackaged recite.

Sounds great. As you seem to realise, there's really no reason to have
a small number of non-free games in Debian's archive when they're just
one file each from if-archive. Your suggestion seems to be what I should
have done in the first pla
redeeming features,
and add your findings to this bug report. I don't have any particular
reason to believe that jlex is useless enough to remove from Debian,
so it's probably worth leaving it in the distribution for now.
