Yes, Xfce does still some shortcuts (never came acroos problems with F1 to
F12). you can define Xfce specific shortcuts in settings -> keyboard so
that they wont interfere with yours.

Do you have /sbin in your PATH? try /sbin/reboot. if that works that you
have to add /sbin and possibly other directories to the PATH.

first of all, you need to find packages that have different names.. so you
must issue command:
dpkg --get selec
are you using third-party repositories? like debian-multimedia or similar?
error says that repositories from which packages are about to be installed
are not signed. you need to install *-keyring packages for that
repositories.

if you want to upgrade only iceweasel, then run
apt-get install iceweasel/lenny-backports
by this, apt will try to install iceweasel from backports but will try to
match its dependencies from lenny. it worked for me...

The story is, that I want to install FreeBSD on my computer, but
unfortunately i don't have spare primary partition (only logical one), and
as freBSD documentation says, I can only install it on primary partition, so
I'm thinking to move my current Debian installatin from primar
UB fail to load? Will 'update-grub' be enough, or

Try trinity, It has debian stable/testing repositories, and works quite
well, i tested it on lenny installation and worked flawlesely.

Well the whole problem was HP "Smart" install which comes with this printer
because of this Laserjet registers itself as storage deivce under Debian.
Only way to fix this is to disable this HP Smart install feature from

fith PRI support. Last summer I needed fax server and after some research,
Hylafax was only normal/serious option, currently it seems that there are no

I'm setting up small asterisk/SS7 server, and writing simple monitoring
script.
It basically pulls data from Asterisk to .dat file and then gnuplot is
plotting it to .png which itself is displayed in .html file.
Problem is that generated png files are not displayed in any web bro
I figured it out. My bad. It was error in plot file, thats why gnuplot was
generating empty png.
