Hi folks,
there's an issue with Mutt 1.4.0 (in sarge) that I fail to get resolved,
maybe someone on this list can help. I am writing to this list instead of
mutt-user because, judging by the sources in the source package, it
_should_ work, but apparently doesn't.

slink (v4.8.1-0.1) which I am unable to solve despite looking
in all the docs, man pages and the mailing archives.
I can view any file with "most ", except for gzipped files.
Whenever I try that, I get

Your BIOS shouldn't be a problem then. Have you checked the BIOS settings?

I'm having a problem with smbclient hinted at above, maybe someone
on this list can help me out.
I am able to connect to the machine running the samba daemon from
other machines, browse shares, access, read and write files and so on.
smbd logs "connection from ..." and everything seems to work fin

I shut down my Debian box last night, and turned it off when
it displayed the message "Power down." When I tried to boot
