have a problem installing a printer with parallel port connected via USB
hub. No idea, where to search for information.
Kernel 2.6.12
USB Hub FTDI with parallel / serial port, USB 1.1
Any help / recommendations recommended.

Did you run 'apt-get update' after altering /etc/apt/sources.list ?
Try 'apt-cache policy r-base-core' which will tell you about the versions it
knows, where they are from, and how they are prioritized (aka "pinned").

This is, admittedly, my own style of using email, where I tend to delete
over 1/2 my mail without ever reading. And perhaps a regular posting, say
monthly, going over where to find FAQs etc.
