First I tried XF86Setup, but could not get past the mouse config. I
have a Microsoft PS2 mouse with wheel, so checked off PS2 and /dev/psaux

dselect. Could that be why there seem to be pieces missing from my
installation, like the mouse driver? After getting a helpful email from

the first installation I remembered seeing messages about not being able
to find the package.cd files. It turned out that when I used the scan

This is so weird! I'm a very new user, got Linux working with the help
of this group, using Lilo to boot Windows in the first partition (HDA1),
and Linux in HDA3 (swap) and HDA4 (file system). I left HDA5 as DOS Fat
16, but am not using it for anything yet.

xserver-svga_3.3.2.3a-11.deb.
It is part of slink r4. You'll of course need other packages as well: fonts,
Xbase, etc. Dependencies should take care of that though.
