I am downloading the Debian disk sets (using jigdo), and I am wondering:
What is on each of the (seven or eight?) disks? I would rather not
download the source disk, as my connection is rather slow and it will
take me long enough to download all this. Can somebody tell me what is
on each disk

boot menu. Then went in and downloaded

I am trying to have my NIC Netgear FA311 installed. I went to the Netgear site and
they say I should insert RTL8139.o, which I tried with modconf, but it doesn't work. I
have tried pretty much every driver supply in the NEt section of modconf, without

The errors you describe sound like broken hardware

I'm trying to setup Informix Dynamic Server on Debian 2.0 and it seems
to work all right but Informix, on their web site, say "File descriptor
patches are required for kernal 2.0.36, glibc 2.0.7.". Following that

internal message. It comes after syslogd restarts. It's like this:

Thank you all that answered my questions about syslog repeated
messages.
It really was the "news" lines in syslog.conf. Just commenting them
worked out the problem.

Two years ago I had the same doubt and evaluated some options. I finally
decided to go for a small cisco router for the following reasons:
- At that time the linux kernel didn't do traffic shaping
- WAN boards were expensive and did'n have direct support
in my country (Portugal)
- Cisco hard
I tried installing the latest X11, version 4.0.2
and found that some apps don't run, notably
Netscape 6. How do I revert back to the last
version of X using apt?

I'm trying to keep my machine up to date with woody and the first
time I installed kde I was very happy because I could write dead
keys like "ã" (atilde) or "á" (aacute) directly.
After another update
The problem is the hardware. The PCI bios cannot assign a free
interrupt to the card in the PCI slot. Therefore it assigned a
value of 255 to it.
Try to assign a interrupt to the pci device by changing the
bios
settings.
