Hi, I am trying to upgrade libstdc++.so.6.0.8 to a newer version in the /usr/lib directory. I used aptitude to install libstdc++6-dev package. But the /usr/lib so file is still not updated. I suspect that's not the package for it. Given an existing file, Is there any method to find out which pac

I've periodically tried using aptitude, but always get scared off when it seems to "run away". I'm sure it knows what's best for my machine ;-), but is it possible to override this behavior? $ sudo aptitude install wmmoonclock -s ... The following packages are unused and will be REMOVED:

Whenever I browse any website, mozilla says "Resolving www.google.com" and waits for about 15 seconds to resolve the host. I've disabled ipv6 but the problem is still there. Also I've checked the isp nameserver and they are fine. Does anyone has the same problem? --David
