I installed sarge on one of my machines which went flawlessly. Thanks to
the team who have done a neat installer.
Initially lprng was installed. I removed it and installed lpr. Funny
thing is that /dev/lp0 was missing. So, I recreated it with proper
perms, etc. On reboot it is again missing :

I just assembled a new machine with a Asus P5GD1 Pro motherboard. This
has a built-in 10/100/1000 NIC Marvell 88E8053.
I booted the machine using a usb pen with sarge-business-card-installer
iso on it. It booted ok, loaded the drivers from the pen, but the
installer was unable to find the netwo

I have this odd situation. I am running 2.6.9 in Sarge which I compiled
by downloading the 2.6.9 kernel source from kernel.org since Sarge
doesn't have this as a package yet. In this kernel, I am not able to use
the cdrecord to burn CD's and K3b does not see my cdwriter as a write
but as a read
Oops! I looked at my sources.list and made a wrong accusation about a
typo in yours. Yours looks correct.
Sorry about that.
But do switch to a mirror, I'll stick with that suggestion. :)
