Heya all..
I've got a small project in CVS and am having some trouble. The problem
is, when I try to add files to the project, although all other files are
at revision 0.2.1.x, it adds files as revision 1.1.1.x.. When I try:
cvs add apache.py
cvs commit -r 0.2.1
I get:
cvs commit: cannot add

Apparently, Debian packages for woody only include 1.0.2.
after I manually install hpijs and reconfigured the other installations,
everything worked.
Thanks

The debian binaries in testing for openssl are already optimized for
sparc-v9...

Similar here, but looking for a more drastic solution: I want to
re-install gnome for a specific user in a box (several users have
access to same box) due to several reasons, without affecting the
settings for any other user. What should I do?
Thank you.

I have a small home LAN and decided to protect it with a firewall.
Some time ago I built a small box with spare items and installed
Smoothwall on it with two NICs (one on the Green channel and the
other on the Red channel with a modem to connect to my ISP).
Although I can access the Smoothwall

Hi!
I've installed with apt-get the x-window-system package . I've not been able
to successfully execute Xwindows. When I try to execute startx it says:
"could not open default font 'fixed'"
Looking for information about my problem I've found the following
possibilities:
* to reinstall xfont-b

Hello,
I was trying to run an SCO binary in woody (with 2.4bf24 kernel) and
noticed that linux abi is neither enclosed in woody nor in sid.
Is there any chance for making this work without patching the kernel
manually?
Thanks,

Well, I can tell you what not to do. Do not just rem out the matrox
frame buffer in the /etc/modules file. This caused me so much trouble
that I ended up (with a wing and a prayer) putting it back in, in the
hope that everything would work again. So far it does.
I get the anoying little white
