Hi,
Im using with success AZTECH 2320 PnP (WaveRider Pro 32-3D PnP)
sound cards in my two Linux boxes (with "bo" and kernel 2.0.30, and
2.0.32).
However configuring of them was not so easy, and required changes in
the kernel... :-(.
I published my solution in one of linux hardware usenet groups (I

Hello,

I just noticed I've made a stupid mistake which would prevent you from
running your chat script succesfully... You should use only one
backslash, so as follows:
chat -v "" 'atq0v1x3\$n1=1' OK
I did experiments with my previous advices and I noticed it doesn't do
the right thing...
I use unstable Debian and 2.0.33 kernel, compiled by myself from sources.
I have perl (5.004.04-4) installed. I tried to install perl-curses (1.01-1)
and I have the following problem:

OK guys, I finally managed to make ncpfs-2.1.1 compile and work under
libc6. I have just released a new package called ncpfsx. Use this
package if you want to play around with ncpfs and kernels > 2.1.29.
For older kernels use package ncpfs.
Would it be more convenient to merge the ncpf

Hi Chris
I just saw a C.O.L.A. posting of a release of a trutype font program.
I include the post verbaim, below, and hope it helps. Is there a
Debian package for this?

The single quotes are suffient to protect the '$' from the shell. The '\'
is harmless but unnecessary as '$' is not special to chat. In this case
chat just eats the '\', determines the the

This newbie would like some help with the following problem:

This replaced the usual prompt $ by >. I then tried to get a new xterm

Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
I downloaded the debian package for Message Handler. It seems to be a
nifty program. I've tried to configure it correctly, but some unknown
reason I can't seem to compose letters for debian-user lists. There's
also a bug wherein it won't view the digest formats. The net has a patch
shown, but I ca

You removed your /tmp dir. The Xserver (and other programms) save
temporary data in it, so you get into problems as you saw by yourself.

Just a note for others who have been experiencing the Netscape Bus Error
bug when attempting to view Java Applets;
I just upgraded to X-Suse (Matrox), in an attemt to get X-Anim to work
better, and inadvertently 'fixed' Netscape.
I can run all Java applets I encounter just fine now; (previously any

Hello,
As the subject says I'd like to find a perl regex to match an email addr.
Those I've been able to write seem to be either too restrictive or not
enough... I'd also like to find the same for URLs too.
Any pointer?

The links in rc*.d to init.d/sendmail are what you should look at.
