I learned (hard way) not to use root as my normal user.
but when I try to start X as ender(my user) I get this error
xinit: unexpected error 2.
How can I fix this?

I included the .sd.sh script in my .bash-profile script:

I've suddenly started having difficulties compiling a kernel. Packages
are latest versions from unstable.
When I try to make a kernel, it falls over fairly early on with a
message about changelog being empty
All ideas welcome.

I missed libncurses3.4 though. My machine was left in an
crippled state (couldn't ftp out) so I thought I'd boot into
windoze to get the .deb. Unfortunately when booting back into Linux,
even in single user mode, I get 'sh: can't load libncurs
I've put together some ideas for the debian newsletter I proposed last
