is there a way to clear the cache of pages and images?
Yes. There is a button to do this under Preferences in the same place
you can set the cache sizes.
Alternatively just `rm -r ~/.netscape/cache'. (I think that's the
right directory. Take a look under .netscape.)

is there a way to clear the cache of pages and images?
i've searched the menus... i have a cached page that seems to
only reload from cache, and not from the server. other pages
load from the server just fine.

Yes, it is in hamm. No, you aren't stuck. You can get the .deb file by
ftp and install it. I don't have a bo system to test it, but I do

In bo (Opt), I see it as netscape-beta, and gnuchess.
I think you need the German (or other foriegn) site for gpg. Has

I installed Netscape 4.04 using the .deb wrapper and it went great.
However, when I access a page with java script, netscape dies. I remember
there being a similar problem with older versions of netscape. Is there a
fix for this with 4.x?

My netscape 4.04 is also working just fine -- I did not have
to do anything at all. Just downloaded, installed using
debian packages and it just works.
My configuration:
hamm debian as of December 19 (all libc6 + some packages that cannot
live without libc5)
kernel: 2.1.78
To dial up I use X-ISP

My MOZILLA_HOME as well as all the other directories NSN must find as
described in the README are already set. :(.However, everyone who has replied
indicating success seems to be running full hamm. Mine is half bo, half hamm.
I suspect that the problem is rooted in the half bo, half hamm thing

I just downloaded Netscape 4.04 and installed it via the .deb installer.
When I start Netscape, it prints out about two pages of messages like:
netscape: can't resolve symbol 'execute_java_constructor'
The messages are all something about Java or JavaScript..

As for installing netscape with a .deb script, I wouldn't be able to

It might be a good idea if the netscape4.deb installation did not remove
netscape 3 until it has verified that everything is set for the new
install. As of now I am left with nothing. As far as I can tell the file
