I have a Sony C1xD (really neat subnotebook) with a 1024x480 display.
After upgrading from Xfree86 3.3.6 to 4.0.1 I have had problems with the
display size
settings in XF86Config-4.
Even if I only have one Mode (1024x480) specified, the Neomagic chipset
reports
that the screen is a 1024x768 and

The latest X from unstable will run in 800x600 for this card, but
segfaults trying 1024x768 (the NM2380 code is fairly new I think, so
this is probably a temporary issue).
Be careful with the interrupts (or maybe I should say, "the interrupt")

I use a pure Slink laptop. Has a NeoMagic 128XD chip. No complaints

Hello,
Has anyone had any problems using Slink with a Neomagic video
card. I am currently using Hamm with Precision Insights
XFCom_NeoMaic Xserver.
Now from what I have seen from slink is that a lot of changes
happen when you upgrade to slink, especially with the fonts.
My question is will the

So I just got my laptop (a Gateway Solo 2300SE) yesterday. This
machine has a NeoMagic video card (128XD card, I believe. NM2160 chipset).
So far Linux has gone fairly painlessly. PCMCIA was a pain, as the
modules installed by the Debian 1.3.1 CD were different than the ones the

Ok.. I found the key, I tried that and I also hooked up an external monitor
to see if I could see something and it turned of the monitor like Win95 does
when in the wrong video mode.
I am running a Dell Latitude CP M233XT with the NM2190 chipset. I am very
frustrated. I would really like to use

an xserver for it. Here is my problem, I must have the xserver configured
