I am trying to get the new X server working, but even copying over my mode line didn't help -- X seems to think it knows what my lcd panel is capable of, and seems to get it wrong. Next step for me is probably reading the X source and tracking down some of its messages about this, but I don't know when I'll get around to it. -- see shy jo
