Have you tried if this problem is Debinan/Linux specific? This way you
can make sure that it is not a ghar

I have a debian machine which keeps dropping its ethernet connection
around every 2.3 minutes.
This is the second machine that I have doing this to me now, and I cannot
work out whats wrong.
I have done the obvious and changed NIC's but the problem still exists.
