Using the lastest unstable/frozen package of Samba I have run into a
curious problem with Win98. I have finally got profiles and netlogon
working to my satisfaction with one serious exception: all Explorer
windows no longer automatically update when I add, remove or rename
files (that are local).
I finally got the public browsing to work with samba des... I still can't
log on to any accounts. Heres what I've tried
normal configuration - security = user, encrypted passwords = yes
connect to \\server\homedir%username
tried using passwords which were all lower or upper case
security = share
