Hello,
Since I'm new to Debian I don't know where to report (possible) bugs
yet I'm posting it here. Please advise me to the correct list next
time. The lists subscribed to so far are: debian-announce,
debian-news, debian-change, debian-user.

You have docbook installed, no? It looks like it's not being found.

Hi,
I wrote an entire document using the debiandoc DTD before I
realized that I picked on the weaker and less prevailing DTD. I would like
to convert my entire document to docbook. Unfortunately, the docbook

Use jade's TeX output and run it through pdfjadetex (see e.g.

Hi,
Does anyone know of any tools to convert from SGML (or any output jade can
make) to PDF?
The tutorials all show jadetex but this keeps failing for me. I get this error
if anyone knows how to fix it:
This is TeX, Version 3.14159 (Web2C 7.3) (format=jadetex 1999.8.24) 16 OCT 1999

Maybe linuxdoc? There is a debian package. As for Docbook,
Hi, anybody knows about a simple "user manual" DTD available ??
DocBook is oversized for this task and i don't know about any
repository of DTDs.
Thanks.

This is a genuine TeX problem.

I just recently started having problems with sgml-tools... I was forced to
kill a bunch of hung processes after some bad sgml caused them to choke, and
now sgml2latex refuses to work. I keep getting these errors:
Processing file mech430_report.sgml

Just some background: tools like sgml-tools that format or translate SGML
documents usually support only a specific set of DTDs. In the case of
sgml-tools, it's Linuxdoc-sgml

My apologies, I know I shouldn't try to call the attention with caps
etc., but I've tried this question a couple of times and seem to get no
response so far:

Hi,
I'm writing some docs on SGML, but I'm having some trouble when
converting them with sgml-tools, and I too am a bit confused with it, is
there any mailing list on the subject (ie. SGML)?
Also, what's the difference between Debiandoc-SGML, Linuxdoc-SGML and
Docbook?
TIA
