Is there a mistake in those /etc/inid.d scripts? Shouldn´t a "autodetection" if booted from a monolithic kernel be built into them? Well, I could remove some scripts/symlinks, but then a modularized kernel wouldn´t boot, right? Thanks in advance, scr

ers.) I think Win9x needs to be installed in a primary partition on your first disk. So either swap your drives (jumpering the smaller one as master) or make a primary partition of size 2 gig on your 4.6 gig drive, leaving the rest of the drive (and the entire smaller one) for Linux. Regards, scr

Hi, I'm very new to this list (and rather new to Debian). I recently installed potato on two machines (a PC164 based Alpha and a Asus K7M based Athlon). While "fdisking" I get errors (or better: warnings) on both systems that I never saw before and I'd like to know how to avoid them (Yes, I was
