Is this the same one as the binary-amd64? If so, How can I make the apt-get tool look for this folder and not the other one?Thanks in advance,

I had a similar problem. I tried to install Sarge (i386) with the 2.6kernel (option "linux26" did work for me) on my new SATA drive, but theinstaller wouldn't find the HDD. So I switched to Etch and this worked
