I'm running Debian Sarge and recently upgraded to KDE
3.2.3. As a consequence my sound no longer works. It is
apparently looking for libkcm_arts.la which is part of
Debian stable release and I'm on the testing release.
Googling has not provided an answer. Linuxquestions.org and

I want to install a package along with the suggested and
recommended packages with apt-get. Is there any way in
which I can tell apt-get to install the whole lot or do I
have to install the package as a first step and then the
suggested and recommended packages after the first install
has complete

I've installed k3b on my machine and every time I start k3b
up, it gives me an error message: "unable to find cdrecord
executable".
I undoubtedly have cdrecord installed on my machine.
ls -al cdrecr* in /usr/bin provides the following output:
-rws--x---1 root cdrom
