out the "Emulate3Buttons" in both of them has no effect. (I seem to
remember that it conflicts with the ZAxisMapping.)
Any idea what's going on here? This is a Sarge install using the Network
install Beta 3 on 3/28/04.
I'm thinking this is a bug in the installer, but I figured I'd check with
you guys before filing a report.

I never did figure that one out. So I installed vsftpd, which then
replaced whatever the default was. (I know it existed, as I was able to
ftp to the machine!)
I highly reccomend vsft

I think at that point you're supposed to manually install the OS without
instructions. Can someone send along a pointer as to where I should be
looking for those instructions? 'Cause at this point, I don't have a

What am I looking for in my OS? Ease of use, and then stability. I can
deal with some unstability on my desktop, but it's less acceptable on my
server. So the equations are probably reversed for the server.
So, if we take it as a given that Knoppix is so evil, what
