Hi there,
when compiling a very large program, it would come in handy
to stop the compiling process, and start it again later.
The make system should be able to just start again where I
stopped, but how do I tell debian/rules to not start over
again at configuring?
And, how do I give configure

pay attention to the fact, that .muttrc folder hooks don't

Sorry again!

Hi all,
my system _should_ be able to boot from CD, but right now
it doesn't, so I wondered if someone knows about an image
of a diskette, that just hands the bootprocess over to the
CD, when booted into. (I'd just use it as a boot image for
grub, that should work ;-)

Hi all,
I've got a little problem with my mouse:

Debian Woody with XFree86 4.1.0
When booting into the console, and using startx, my mouse
works (/dev/gpmdata as mousedevice, Protocol Intellimouse).
At least I get 3 Buttons, the wheel doesn't work, though.

Hi to all,
I'm still trying to find out what may make name resolution

If I do a

I get an instant answer, but if I

it takes about 30s until I'm connected. On the other hand

Sorry, I read the info files on make, but I didn't find
information on how I could make start make in all subdirectories

Does anyone know, where I could find this? Well or just tell

If you want to use a USR Sportster Message Plus modem with
linux, you may find some interesting programs and infos at
http://www.messagecentral.de/ (Sorry, but this page is in german.)
btw, they want to add other modems to the pages as well.

on /dev/ttyS1 once in a while to

Does someone know, which script does this?

that should compile and build a *.deb, that may be installed with dpkg.

Put a line like
sender_unqualified_hosts = localhost
into your /etc/exim.conf , and ask someone
else for an explanation why.
