Have you grepped the config file to see if SMP is enabled?
Since 2.6.17, SMP is enabled by default:
grep -i smp /boot/config-2.6.18-1-686

attached or not, one solution is to return Zero in the atkbd_probe()
function of the atkbd input module if the atkbd->connect() function was

I'm facing the problem that when I have booted my server with no
keyboard attached and debian is up and running, the OS does not
recognize any key stroke I send through a remote service facility.
Important to note: the installed remote service card snoops the vga
information and puts

I don't get IP-Aliasing to work. The machine has got one interface
(eth0) working correctly with ip=192.168.1.1
Issuing the commands
ifconfig eth0:1 192.168.1.100
route add -host 192.168.1.100 dev eth0:1
brings the interface eth0:1 up, but I can't ping it from the same
