Hi I was playing with the update-initrd tool to try and fix the booting of my system and i deleted the current initrd files. Then my battery died and i can't boot in to debian at all now what should i do? The error that comes up is that it is asking for the initrd file yet that doesn't exist becaus

Use of Swap Space

Hi I recently noticed that my CPU is at 100% when the temperature of my CPU is high. Taking a look at System Monitor i have also discovered that my swap space is being used while only 13% of the RAM is, why isn't is using the rest of the RAM. Has anyone got any ideas why? Thanks in Advance Dean.

How often do the repositories get updated?

Hi I am just wondering how frequently do the repositories get updated for kernels as ive not been able to update to the new kernel 2.6.28. My custom built kernel doesn't work:(. I am running debian sid and i also noticed that the kernel 2.6.27 wasn't put in to the repositories. Thanks in advance De
