thus I upgraded my 3.4.2-3 unstable packages (installed maybe 4 weeks ago before

Is there some sort of effort underway to reduce the effort in manually
replicating the KDE (or freedesktop) menu files to the Debian menu files
format for each package? I guess that with some of the announced features
for the latter (e.g., translations), this could become quite cumbersome.

A workaround for this is to use "Save Sessions Profile" instead of "Save
