i'd like to do some work in qa like bug fixing, update maintainer
field in orphaned package etc etc. how i can do? how do work the
coordination?!?

No, because 3dchess's debian/control still says it's priority extra,
while the override file marks it as optional. (See
dpkg-scanpackages(8).)
