need some overhauling while moving from a
different gbp style (branching off upstream vs. tracking tarball
imports and git-dpm), and I'm just making myself familiar with git-dpm.
I've read and accepted the DPMT policy[1].

other hand, the tag format is defined in terms of git-dpm, even
though the resulting tags seem to match what `gbp buildpackage
--git-tag` produces.
Should git-dpm be used even though no patches are present?

Thanks, but unless you plan to do more on the package where the lack of
DPMT configuration would be hindering to you, I'd like to use that
package to practice git-dpm and to practically implement DPMT policy;
I'd be happy to have the result of that reviewed, though, when bringing
the
ound broke, and we'll need that anyway; starting to
