I have the exact same problem with XFree 4.03 from the new Mandrake 8 PPC,
and i've found nothing better to do than use the fb driver and disable the
r128.
Does anyone have an idea on how we could make this R128 driver work ?

It doesnot work at 100% but it's
better than not sharing the files at all.

anyway, a mac is just way to expensive if it's just to use linux on it, but

my duron900 works fine at 1000MHz, with the 250W pow sup
and i did buy M$ keyboard and mouse, 10/100eth, etc. etc.

The 'parted' bin, which fortunately was on the boot cd of mandrakePPC, gave
me an error :
$ parted /dev/hda set 7 boot on
Give me something like : "the boot partition doesnot start here" :-(((
